Salam! I’m Sadaf. Thank you for dropping by! I am truly honored.

I am the author of the children’s book, From Ya to Ants. I have been a bookworm my entire life! I also have a Master’s degree in English and have been a teacher for about two decades. I am also a proud Mama to four beautiful children, who motivate and inspire me every day.

For too long, children's books in English have offered damaging narratives about Muslims. Often, they proclaim who we are NOT — we are not terrorists, we are not backward, we are not oppressed.

I want to tell the story of who we ARE. I want Muslim children to feel joy and validation when they read my books. I want them to be proud of their identity and their religion, and to not be afraid of sharing its beauty with others. And I want them to have fun in the process.
